Dawn of Hope is an all volunteer nonprofit organization founded by a group of committed Christians who have a shared heart for children in foster care. By partnering with the local faith community, our intention is to create a movement that radically impacts foster care through the development of meaningful relationships and experiences.
A key component of how we do this is through Royal Family KIDS programs. Dawn of Hope’s founding members is composed of Royal Family KIDS Camp trained directors. We would love to have you explore our website to learn more about who we are and why we are so passionate about the Royal Family KIDS program.
This year we again look forward to hosting to a traditional week long of camp up in the local mountains. With over 30 years of experience, RFKC is intentional in every aspect. From stepping off the bus onto a red carpet, to our camper to staff ratio, we are invested in addressing the unique needs of children in foster care. Highlights of the week’s activities include the tea party or knighting ceremony/knight games, the variety show where every camper is encouraged to take a turn to be applauded on-stage, and Everybody’s Birthday Party when each camper receives specially selected gifts and a personalized birthday cake.
In fall of 2020, we launched our club and mentoring program which was an unique challenge given the impacts of the pandemic. We continue to work on building out this program with adequate support and intend to have a full program in place in Fall of 2023.
