In June 2023, Dawn of Hope, in partnership with local area churches, will host 40-45 children ages 7-11 who are in foster care to a week of Royal Family KIDS Camp (RFKC). Dawn of Hope will raise the funds, recruit volunteers and provide leadership and training for a team of 85 volunteers. RFKC is designed to meet the unique needs of kids in foster care.
Campers are welcomed off the charter bus with a “royal” welcome, red carpet included. Camp includes a birthday party where we celebrate each camper with their own gifts and birthday cake, a variety show where campers show off their creativity, and multiple activities that campers get to choose between based on their interests. We have our camp grandma and grandpa who provide our campers with so much love and a special story time with milk and cookies as well as many other family members such as the camp aunt and uncle or camp cousins. Our camper to adult ratio is low to ensure that each camper is supported and treated royally.
